One You is a campaign from Public Health England, which aims to help adults, especially those between the ages of 40-60 years old, avoid future diseases caused by modern day lifestyles.
How healthy is your heart?
Take the Heart Age Test:
- Tells you your heart age compared to your real age
- Explains why it's important to know your blood pressure and cholesterol numbers
- Gives advice on how to reduce your heart age
Read more here about what is happening across Surrey Heartlands to improve heart health and make sure people have safe blood pressure levels.
One You says that everyday habits and behaviours - such as eating too much unhealthy food, drinking more alcohol than is recommended, continuing to smoke and not being active enough – are responsible for around 40% of all deaths in England, and cost the NHS more than £11 billion a year.
One You will invite adults to take the ‘How Are You?’ online health quiz which assesses people’s current behaviours and shows them which areas they should look to change. It will ask people how they are feeling and get them to think about their levels of activity, their diet, alcohol intake and whether they smoke. It will then direct people to free online tools designed to help them make changes in the areas where they most need to take action.
