Extended access to GP services
Did you know that many GP practices in Surrey Downs now offer appointments during evenings and weekends? This is part of a national initiative to offer patients more convenience and accessibility to appointments outside normal working hours.
The service is ideal for people restricted by school or working hours who need routine appointments. It is not intended for patients with urgent medical needs or long-term conditions which require continuity and regular review appointments.
To find out more, contact your local GP surgery.
GP Health Partners extended access service
As one of the early adopters of the extended access programme, GP Health Partners offer patients living in and around Epsom, Ashtead, Leatherhead, Bookham and surrounding areas the option to book an extended hours appointment with their registered practice in the usual way.
If you are registered with one of these practices and are unwell when your doctor’s surgery is closed, you can phone 01372 738373 from 6pm to 9pm on weekdays or from 9am to 1pm at the weekend to book an appointment. You will then be seen by a local NHS GP with full access to your medical history. There is no charge for using this service.

N.B. If you need urgent medical help or advice, but it's not a life-threatening situation, please call NHS 111.
In a medical emergency (when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk) always call 999.
