Guildford and Waverley Covid-19 vaccination service update

Vaccination services in Guildford and Waverley

Excellent progress is being made and our local GP networks continue to work at pace, aiming to vaccinate the first four priority groups (identified by the JCVI) by mid-February.

Frontline teams are working flexibly in a fast moving environment to deliver as many vaccines as they can, whilst also delivering care to the rest of our local population.

This week we have completed vaccinations for residents and staff in all care homes in the Guildford and Waverley area (apart from one care home which we have had to reschedule due to a Covid-19 outbreak). We are also making great progress this week with providing vaccinations to our housebound population.

G Live

The service at G Live continues to run and all booked appointments will take place this week. The vaccination programme works flexibly to allow for changes in vaccine delivery. There was a change to the vaccine delivery slot for the G Live service earlier this week but this has not impacted the number of people we would have expected to vaccinate. No appointments have been cancelled and the roll-out continues from tomorrow (Thursday 28 January) with sufficient vaccine supply.

Vaccinations can only be given to those with a booked appointment. If you have a booked appointment for G Live please attend as normal.

Cranleigh Village Hall, Superdrug Guildford and St Christopher's Church

Vaccination services at Cranleigh Village Hall and Superdrug in Guildford continue to operate for people who have a booked appointment. Our intention is also to reopen St Christopher's Church in Haslemere as another local vaccination service, and we will provide further updates as soon as we can.
