Covid-19 vaccination programme update

The Covid-19 vaccination programme in Surrey Heartlands is being rolled out to priority groups in local communities. Vaccinations are being delivered according to priority groups identified by the Joint Committee of Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).

Our Practices are working together to deliver this vaccination and therefore it may not take place at your GP practice, but rather a local vaccination service (led by GPs, practice nurses and community pharmacists). Where necessary, your Practice will share relevant information about you with the provider of your local vaccination service to allow you to be invited for vaccination. Vaccination centres have included, Epsom, Caterham Haslemere, Chertsey, Reigate and Woking and more sites will be identified in the coming weeks.

When it is the right time for you to receive your vaccination, you will receive an invitation to come forward. This invitation may be via the phone, text or through a letter. The invitation may not be sent from your GP, it may be from the local network of GPs (GP Federation) or the NHS directly.

We know lots of people will be keen to get protected from the virus but we are asking people not to contact the practice to get an appointment as you will not be able to get an appointment until you are contacted directly.
